Major Tracey Howard is a lifelong resident of Liberty County, Georgia. A few years after graduating from Bradwell Institute, he attended Armstrong Atlantic State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and graduating with honors.

He has served the citizens of Hinesville as a law enforcement officer for over 32 years. First as a patrol officer, then as a narcotics investigator (M.A.C.E. Drug Task Force); detective; street gang intelligence officer, P.O.S.T. certified instructor, firearm instructor; commander of the Criminal Investigative Division, and currently the assistant chief of police. 

Major Howard is the father of four wonderful children and four grandchildren.
