Captain Terranova Smith is a United States Army veteran stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia, from August 1989 to August 1992. After being honorably discharged, he and his family decided to make Hinesville their home, where in May 1993, he joined the Hinesville Police Department as a patrol officer.
Smith's leadership roles include field training officer, patrol sergeant, patrol lieutenant (watch commander), CID lieutenant (narcotics and crime suppression unit commander), and captain (uniform patrol division commander).
