Then and Now

Today, the Hinesville Police Department is one of the largest municipal law enforcement agencies in Georgia. It is composed of a diverse group of men and women who work diligently to provide high-quality services for the more than 36,000 residents and thousands of annual visitors to the Hinesville-Fort Stewart area. In addition to its Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division, and Administrative Services Division, the Hinesville Police Department also has an Office of Professional Standards; digital forensics lab; probation and records sections; traffic, drug, and crime suppression units, community resource officer; front-desk services; and many other ancillary functions that foster proactive, positive community relationships.
